Gorgeous views of Lake Okareka coupled with luxurious decor that feels like stepping into an old colonial home. The suite offered ample space, a comfortable bed, and thoughtful amenities like an espresso machine and a large flat-screen TV with Netflix.
While the lodge provides many perks, it lacks a kitchen or bar service on Sundays, which can be inconvenient if you're counting on dining options after a long day. Additionally, I would have liked to see a side table near the seating areas for convenience, especially when enjoying a glass of wine.

absolutely dissapointing. No kitchen service on Sunday, while staff prepared for their ‘precious’ function. I woudl ve loved a side table for my wine glass, but I guess that woudl have been too much to ask. Almost gave a good review, but just couldn’t!

What you should know
The majestic views across the lake and the warm hospitality of the hosts left us with lasting memories, especially with breakfast hosted in a charming dining area.
Though the lodge is close to the town, the lack of nearby dining options may require a quick drive into Rotorua.

We had a lovely stay in the spacious Suite with Lake View and enjoyed relaxing evenings on the balcony while taking in the serene surroundings. The breakfast was a highlight, especially those monumental pancakes and lovely scrambled eggs! The only small thing was the WiFi connection—it could be a bit finicky at times. Don’t forget to try the spa services. they really help you unwind! 😌
